If you're looking for a young Thoroughbred with the talent, temperament, beauty, and pedigree to go far, Ah Birdy is the complete package. Affectionately known around the barn as "Belle," she is an absolute standout and a true barn favorite. With her striking presence, elegant movement, and sweet personality, she turns heads everywhere she goes.
Belle had just 4 starts on the track before retiring sound, and she has embraced her second career with enthusiasm. She is one of those rare young horses who combines athletic ability with a genuinely kind and affectionate nature. Always the first to greet you at the gate, she loves people, thrives on attention, and truly enjoys having a job to do.
Under saddle, Belle is progressing beautifully. She walks, trots, and canters quietly, has been started over poles, and shows all the qualities of an exceptional sport horse prospect. She is brave, curious, and willing, approaching new challenges with confidence and a level-headed attitude. Whether riding alone or in a group, she remains sensible and eager to please.
Belle has attended off-site rides, hauled well, and settled into new environments like a seasoned professional. While she is one of the calmest Thoroughbreds you'll meet, she is still a young horse and can occasionally show the excitement expected of a green OTTB.
What truly sets Belle apart is her outstanding movement and natural athleticism. She has the scope, quality, and trainability to excel in a competitive program, and we believe she has upper-level potential in either dressage or jumping with the right rider and continued development.
