Official Name: NUTELLA LDK
Barn Name: Ruby

💕 Beautiful, sweet, and full of potential, Ruby is an 8-year-old, 15-hand registered Haflinger mare ready for her next partner! With 150+ rides, a solid greenbroke foundation, and a wonderful personality, she has so much to offer the right person.

Ruby has impeccable ground manners and is polite, quiet, and easy to handle. She stands at the mounting block, is easy to catch, saddle, and bridle, picks up all four feet, and is a joy to lunge. She is not cinchy or ear-shy and has no history of bucking, kicking, rearing, biting, or pulling back.

She is still green, however, and needs a confident rider who will actively ride and continue her education. She can test you in open fields with her typical Haflinger attitude, and therefore needs an intermediate or experienced rider. She is willing, smart, and quick to learn, but not suitable for beginners at this stage.

Ruby is undergoing extensive desensitization and LOVES the leaf blower! She has been exposed to plastic bags, yoga balls, carrot sticks, pool noodles, tarps, hula hoops, and more. She is good with dogs, kids, and everyday farm activity.

Amish-started with some previous driving training, Ruby knows her voice commands (“walk,” “trot,” and “whoa”). She trailers and bathes well, stands quietly for the farrier, and mounts calmly at the block. Under saddle, she has a smooth, buttery trot that is effortless to sit and is gaining trail experience everyday. She currently rides in a snaffle.

🌿 A few things to love about Ruby:

* Beautiful conformation, great lineage, and a thick double mane
* Muscular build, strong bare feet, and an easy keeper
* Excellent ground manners and a sweet, willing, in-your-pocket personality
* Gets along well with other horses, dogs, and kids
* Very sound, with no known health or metabolic issues
* Registered and a proven broodmare with beautiful, healthy babies
* Solid mind and a great foundation to build on

Ruby recently returned to professional training after taking the spring off to raise a foal and will remain in training until sold. She is currently completing 30 days and is signed up for 60 days.

Ruby is smart, kind, and a little pony-ish at times, but she is genuinely sweet and wants to please and very willing to try. With the right intermediate rider or trainer, she has the potential to become an excellent trail horse, kids’ gymkhana pony, or family horse.
