Meet Spartan, a stunning 9-year-old, 16.3hh registered Friesian Sporthorse gelding with the looks, personality, and versatility to match!
If you’re looking for a substantial, well-rounded horse with a great brain, plenty of miles, and the ability to go in multiple directions, Spartan deserves a look.
EXPERIENCE & TEMPERAMENT
Spartan has had professional training with several trainers, along with plenty of wet saddle blankets. He’s been exposed to roads, rodeos, trails, obstacles, and a variety of environments. He’s not a horse that’s only seen the inside of an arena!
Naturally more woah than go, Spartan is steady, sensible, and not one to look for trouble. He has no history of bucking, rearing, or bolting. He has enough motor to work when asked, but is equally happy taking things easy. He would make a fantastic husband horse, trail partner, dressage or pleasure mount for someone wanting a dependable, versatile gelding.
TRAINING & POTENTIAL
Don’t let his laid-back personality fool you, Spartan is a beautiful mover with extensive dressage and flatwork training. He’s forward and responsive under saddle, although he does require leg.
He has the foundation and versatility to enjoy lower-level dressage, fox hunting, trail riding, pleasure riding, or potentially dabbling in eventing with additional training. He’s also been introduced to cross rails.
PERSONALITY & MANAGEMENT
Spartan is a goofy goober with a regal presence! He knows he’s handsome and loves being admired. He’s affectionate, enjoys being pampered, and will even perform tricks for treats.
He’s an easy keeper who maintains his weight beautifully on hay and pasture. He enjoys a consistent routine and tends to be the dominant horse in a herd but will respect others and coexist.
Spartan has had considerable time and training invested in him. He’s a fun, versatile gelding with a lot to offer someone who will appreciate his personality, experience, and presence.
