Excellent trail horse. Fast Walker. Gaits well. Will Canter and can Run... and drop back to his gait. Load/Unload no issues. Goes through brush and water, over bridges - no issues. Easy for Farrier to work with. Picks up all 4 feet easily. Can check inside his ears, wipe his nose and pull on tail - no issues. Horse Flies land - I can slap down hard and he does not flinch. Likes to be with other horses and often takes the lead. Bathes (loves warm water), I do not clip his chin hairs, ears or feet hairs - he needs these for bug protection and to eat grass. NO Alfalfa - give him the runs. Easy to train. Currently using Gaited Bit, but starting him on Bitless. Have not trained him on jumps, but he will jump some over logs on trails. We don't use spurs EVER. Just lift the reins and he gaits and picks up speed till you tell him "Easy". Verbal and body language training. We have gotten older and don't have enough energy now to ride long. Jordy deserves a Beautiful Barn, to network with other "like" horses and person or people who LOVE their horses and treat them with kindness. If you mistreat him - Jordy does not forget and will stay away from you. We catch him while eating a dab of grain - then he places his head into the halter himself. No Buck, no strike, no bite. Jordy is a pet now and follows us around and brushes his nose on our backside. Not a beginner's horse - too much power and GO. Intermediate or someone who knows HOW to train gaited horses or horses in general. Located in DeKalb, Texas. Came from Tennessee. Can Rack a little.
