Mcleods Sweet Ginger is a 5 year old, 14 '2 dark liver chestnut with gorgeous silver highlights.

Ginger's beautiful chiseled face makes her stand out in a crowd. After 4 months of training, this registered Morgan mare is ready to find her special owner who is ready for a younger, well started horse to take to the next level.

Ginger’s registered name is accurate to her personality; she is about as sweet as they come with an old soul and no mean bone in her body. Ginger has a fantastic work ethic. She wants to work with her person and understand what is being asked. What a pleasure to have that quality in a mare!

Ginger is athletic with very smooth gaits and is quite versatile. Walks, trots, and canters both directions with ease, you can sometimes get lost in her flowing movement. She is very trusting in her rider, making her fearless and willing to take on anything that is thrown her way. She would do great in working equitation as she goes over and through obstacles such as hanging barrels, bridges, water and tarps with confidence. She is excellent at working the gate, and will drag poles.
Ginger would also do exceptionally well in lower level eventing. She will happily go over ground poles and cross rails, and seems to show nice form over fences. Ginger has also lightly been introduced to cows.

If you are more interested in having a trail companion, Ginger is still the girl for you. She rides happily in open fields by herself and with other horses, and rides up and down the road. Ginger side passes poles, pivots on her hind quarters and on her forehand, and has lightly been introduced to leg yielding. She is currently working on collection and softening, which she has been very willing to learn. Ginger is responsive to your seat cues, allowing for light hands during transitions.
Ginger does not mind motorized equipment, as she has been around the works such as quads, tractors, and vehicles.

Ginger’s only blemish is an old scar located on her left hind leg, that she had long before we rescued her from Alabama. However, this scar has not affected her performance and she has never taken a lame step from it.

If you are looking for a lifelong, honest partnership, come check out Ginger. I have no doubt that she could be the mare for you!
