Finn is a 14.2hh Norwegian fjord gelding. He has the temperament this breed is coveted for - sensible and thoughtful without being dull, curious and smart without being reactive and very people oriented. He moves beautifully with three quality gaits. His canter being exceptional. He is attentive to aids while being as dull or sharp as his rider is. He is more whoah than go but steps up nicely when asked. We have ridden in every kind of saddle and bareback, he is fine with anything. He does all the good boy things like stand patiently for the vet and farrier and load into the trailer. He lives out in a mixed herd with wire fence and access to grass. Although he is a very easy keeper he has no history of laminitis or founder. No health or soundness concerns. We have taken him to a few eventing derbies in the grasshopper division and he was so much fun and did so well. We have taken him to Western fun schooling shows where he did pleasure and speed. He has also gone off property trail riding with his friends and swam in the pond. He would love a home where he could continue to advance his skills in eventing, dressage or hunter/jumper. He would also be a great family horse to just ride at home and pop over small fences. He wasnt ridden much in life until the last year and a half when I got him and while this is great for his soundness and joints it means he is not currently kid safe. He has all the potential in the world to be a child safe mount but he would need more miles for a kid or fresh beginner to handle him anywhere outside of the arena. This is a young, talented, gorgeous, nice moving gelding who has been in a professional program for the last year. Don't miss out him. Geldings like him don't come available very often! Rider in photos is 5' 10". Don't let his height scare you, he will eat up leg!
