Our son also placed top 3 on her in a round at Silver State International Rodeo this past summer. She’s been to IJHSRA finals, Jr Jigh rodeos, & lots of jackpots. She is a solid bway horse & wicked fast flag racing mount. She’s also been entered a couple of times this fall in poles & handled it great. She’s handy broke & as sweet & gentle as they come. She was started by my husband with reined cowhorse training so she has all of the buttons- a big stop, spins, and is very cowy. We’ve owned her since she was 1 year old. Literally anyone who can hold the reins can ride her! She has zero buck & zero "sass"-- if you do not like mares-- you will like her. She hauls with our geldings & gets along with everything. She’s never had maintenance or been unsound. Not a scratch or bump on her. She’s as safe & solid as you can find in a 5 yr old! Sammie acts like a horse 3 times her age.. Super easy to haul & shoe. My 12 yr old son has started tie-down roping so he isn’t needing her for bway anymore as he has a finished tie-down horse. We also raise a few each yr so we just really can’t keep them all. 😩 We love, love this girl. Whoever gets her will enjoy her no doubt. 🩵
Please check out her video! It’s pretty cute. 🥰 She has been ridden outside & would also make a great trail partner. Sammie would excel as a bway horse, Jr rodeo mount, team sorting or any other cattle work. She is totally fine if you lay her off. You do not need to ride this mare every day. And yes, she is 13.3 hh, but she does cinch up and use all of our normal horse sized tack. She just has short legs--easy to get on.
