Gustav is the perfect gentleman. His temperament would be described as an "old soul". I have had Gustav since he was 5 and he came to me only halter broke. 59 days later we were trail riding. This is very hard for me but some life upheavals have caused to to consider moving him to a good home. Gustav is smart. He learns quickly and aims to please. My girls who are 9 and 8 jump on him and he gives them no trouble. They have learned to trot on him. He is the perfect trail buddy and has no issues going out alone. In fact 90% of the time we are out on the trails by ourself. He is not spooky at all. He has never reared, bucked or bolted. W/T/C in both directions. He will canter but its not his favorite. He could use a little work with his canter. He stands perfect for the vet and farrier. He has shoes on his front. No issues, I just kept them on for winter riding. I am sure he would be fine barefoot. Teeth were floated in January 2026. UTD on all Vax and coggins. Rides English and western. Has gone out bitless.
