She’s got the looks, the movement, and a lovely disposition! Shani is a 7-year-old, 14.3-hand bay Quarter Horse mare. She is a stunning horse who easily catches the eye of everyone in her vicinity. Quiet, hard to phase, and just plain cute! In the barn, Shani is wonderful company. She has impeccable ground manners and outstanding patience. She is easy to catch in the field, respectful to lead, and good to stall. She is easy to groom and tack up, happily standing tied anywhere without a fuss. Shani is very friendly and loves attention. She is also great for the vet and farrier. Under saddle, Shani is comfortable to ride and beautiful to watch! Shani stands pantiently for mounting and waits until you are ready. She will walk, trot, and canter in the arena. She has good brakes, will back up, and doesn’t mind standing around. She has a long stride and is a forward mover. She will ride on a loose rein or on contact. Shani will ride English, Western, bareback with a halter, or double! On the trail, Shani has the job done! She is a packer on the trails and is ready to go wherever you point her. She will walk through water, mud, and brush, cross bridges, and handle traffic. She will go out alone or in a group and doesn’t mind being in the lead or following behind. She is easy to navigate and enjoys spending time outside of the ring! Because Shani is a more forward horse, I would not recommend her for a beginner at this time. She would be best suited for someone who enjoys a horse with a little bit of “go” or someone who likes faster paced riding activities. I could definitely see her in a Hunter/Jumper arena, participating in gymkhana events, or even going out fox hunting or on hunter paces! She is a very special mare who aims to please. With the right person, Shani would make an incredible partner!
