A one-of-a-kind Clydesdale × Quarter Horse mare with the perfect combination of size, strength, athleticism, and heart!
Sky is truly as sweet as they come! She's the kind of horse everyone hopes to find—versatile, dependable, willing, and an absolute pleasure to have around.
Whether you're riding down a busy road with traffic, working in an arena surrounded by other horses, heading out on the trails alone, or enjoying a relaxing bareback ride, Sky takes it all in stride. She's the same steady, willing partner no matter what you ask of her.
What makes Sky so special is her unique size and build. She combines the incredible work ethic and strength of a Clydesdale with the athleticism and versatility of a Quarter Horse. She's compact enough to be manageable, yet stout and strong enough to comfortably carry a variety of riders and tackle just about any job.
Sky would make an outstanding partner for:
Western dressage
Traditional dressage
Pleasure driving
Trail riding
All-around recreational riding
Farm work and utility driving
Under saddle, Sky is as honest and dependable as they come. No buck, bolt, or rear. She's comfortable riding alone or with company, in the arena or out on the trails, and she rides bareback beautifully.
And she's every bit as talented in harness! Sky has extensive experience driving as part of a pair and doing real farm work, including pulling a manure spreader, hauling manure, mowing hay, dragging the arena, and other everyday farm chores. She's not just a pretty horse—she knows how to work!
On the ground, Sky is equally easy to love. She gets along wonderfully with other horses, can happily live in a pasture setting, and has a kind, easygoing personality.
Sky is 100% sound and has never had any health or soundness issues.
If you've been searching for that hard-to-find draft cross that offers the best of both worlds—the strength and sensible nature of a draft horse without the overwhelming size, combined with the athleticism and versatility of a Quarter Horse—Sky checks just about every box.
She's the kind of horse that can spend the morning working on the farm, the afternoon riding down the trail, and the weekend turning heads at a show.
A truly special mare with the looks, brains, experience, and heart to match!
