If you are looking for a striking jet-black Percheron gelding with impressive draft size, athletic versatility, and a clever trick to make mounting a breeze, Khan is an absolute standout! Standing 16.3 hands high, this 5-year-old gelding brings a rare combination of willing disposition, graceful movement, and steady dependability wherever he goes.
Handy Finger-Snap Mounting Trick: Trained to "pick you up" at the simple snap of your fingers, positioning himself perfectly whether you mount from a block, ground, or rock on the trail.
Gorgeous Mover in Both English & Western: Transitions seamlessly into the arena with a smooth, comfortable walk, trot, and canter. Takes the correct lead in both directions, moves laterally, and is lightly started over cross rails with strong potential for foxhunting.
Seasoned Trail & Camping Favorite: Confident trail partner who rides out alone or in groups. Unfazed by water crossings, downfall, bridges, steep inclines, and uneven terrain, and ties overnight on a high line like a gentleman.
Gentle & Easy Maintenance: Walks right up to be caught, loads and hauls easily, stands nicely for the farrier, and stalls well or lives contentedly in a mixed herd.
Veterinary Inspection: Backed by an Equine Soundness Examination from O'Brien Veterinary Hospital (Dr. John L. O'Brien, Jr., DVM) dated November 4, 2026, certifying normal heart, lungs, and flexion tests, zero hoof tester reaction, and sound movement at all gaits with clear wind, limbs, and sight (noting only a minor right eye corneal opacity that does not affect vision), paired with an official negative EIA Coggins test drawn October 6, 2026.
