Van has done it all! We purchased Van 15 years ago for my husband as his first competitive trail horse. He had originally been in a dressage barn. He loves the trail, his people and horse friends and when he competed he would do from 30 - 40 miles in a weekend. Excellent camper at the trailer all night, or on a spring tie or portable pen. Will eat and drink well when traveling. My husband no longer rides so he had about 8 months with no work. He is now in a conditioning program and working as a lesson horse for little beginners and adults. He has done some cattle sorting also. A good home is a must. He also must wear pads in front as his left front foot has side bone but with a pad he never has issues. He was never off on it but prior to diagnosis he had a few instances when maneuvering over large rocks would cause him pain.
