We have owned Sparky for 5 years and have enjoyed every minute. Watch the video and see all that Sparky has done with my daughter. You can lead him up to anything and climb up on him. He will stand perfectly still. We ride bareback often, and are as comfortable loping trails bareback on Sparky as we are loping in a saddle. We trust him not to spook, even when riding with another horse that does spook, Sparky is steady. Giant black feet and we have never had to put shoes on him. He is 100% sound and healthy. From gathering 600 head of cow/calf pairs on a 30k acre cattle ranch to riding the beach at Morro Bay, Sparky is a joy. He rides out alone and rides away from other horses and never looks back. You can confidently ride him up and down hills and canyons alone looking for strays or bareback through town. Spark is chill. He has run barrels but not very often, and hasn't been pushed to be fast. If another horse is feeling fractious, Sparky is the one who sidles up alongside and comforts him. So many colts have gained confidence from Sparky as he confidently ponies them down trails. Most recently, Sparky won the hide race and carried flags at the SLO Sheriffs rodeo in front of a packed house. If you ask Sparky what his ideal life is, he would say 'checking cows' or 'exploring new trails'. Sparky would excel at ranch horse classes that highlight his willingness to cross obstacles and open gates. My daughter recently finished her collegiate softball career and is looking to take up competitive team roping. Sparky has roped the dummy and has been to a few jackpots but is far from a finished rope horse. Sparky is kind and gentle and wants to please. He will make someone a steady, low maintenance and trustworthy mount. He is sweet with other horses and easy on fences. He is good with his feet, teeth were done this year, and is UTD on vaccines. Sparky is barefoot. In all the years and miles, he has never needed shoes, and never takes a bad step.
