Attention all timid riders, pony club kids, ladies getting back into riding after years off. Foxhunters. Adult Ammy’s showing. THIS is your guy!! Proudly offering, President’s Speech, “Lexington” a 15.3hh, 2013 thoroughbred gelding with a personality to make any person fall in love. He is in a professional program and takes to hacking alone, flowing around the arena, or schooling over courses with the same cool, calm and collected demeanor. He is quiet enough to be handled by children, loves the barn dog, and does not demand, but, appreciates attention. His kind eye, and soft expressions are continuous on and off the property. He trailers well, self loads, stands on cross ties, enjoys having his mane pulled, or bridle path shortened (with clippers), and does not get easily startled or frazzled. His hunting resume dates back to 2021 when he was a foxhunting prospect. I was able to start his early hunting career (during college) where he transitioned from the show ring to foxhunting, effortlessly. My first hunt with him was with two huntsmen and myself alongside two packs of hounds and some staff. He blended in and relaxed like a horse who had been hunting hounds his whole life, unbothered. He was shown successfully in the Hunter ring before his foxhunting debut and has a solid lead change. His gaits are rate-able and consistent with no pulling to the base of a jump. On the flat, he is round, collected and quiet with light contact. His trot never gets big or strung out, even on a loose rein. Lexington was simple to introduce to hounds, other horses, and hunting. Neither a down log, an old rusted car, nor traffic, faze this horse. In 2022, he filled the role of a Huntsman's Horse in VA with the Stonewall Hounds. From trail riding him in small groups and Club Trail rides this summer, he is happy to follow and is easy to rate in a snaffle. He appreciates having a job, but is the same horse with a few days off. He is never fresh, and is a simple horse to ride. He understands a supportive leg and quiet hands but can be the babysitter with a more novice rider. Lexington wears four shoes, is light on his feet, and supple in the bridle giving his rider a confident feel cross country riding, hacking, hunting, and in the arena. He loves to work, no crabbiness, with a relaxed attitude. Lexington has whipped in, lead the field, and been a huntsman’s horse at his current home. He is perfect with hounds, down logs, ground mounting, and all the miscellaneous-ness that happens out hunting. Due to a change in lifestyle(owner not horse), he is too nice to sit and is offered for consideration. Lexington will be showing this summer and roading until sold. Low fives. Just under ✌🏻0️⃣🥕.
