“Rocky” is truly as sweet as they come! He is one of the most personable horses I have ever met. He absolutely loves and bonds to his human and will do anything for you! He comes to you in the pasture, enjoys grooming, tacking, and cuddles. Rocky is very easy to handle on the ground. He lunges beautifully in both directions and at all gaits. He is polite when being led, ties perfectly, and will stand quietly for hours. Rocky trailers like a dream. He can be led into the trailer or sent into the trailer. He can back out or be turned around and led out. He is a quiet hauler. Rocky is an all around gentleman on the ground! Rocky is incredibly well trained! He can walk, trot, and canter carrying a beautiful dressage frame. He knows his leads and has effortless transitions. He is a very uncomplicated horse to ride in the arena and is very willing. Rocky also loves the trail! He has completed just over 600 Endurance miles in his life and he thoroughly enjoys being out of the arena and blazing the trails! Rocky is a brave Arab and rarely spooks out on the trail, but when he does he tends to just spook in place. In my experience, Rocky has never bucked, reared, or even thought about bolting. We have been on many trails together and come across many deer popping out of the bushes and he has handled it all like a champ! He also loves water and is very willing to do creek crossings! Rocky is a great leader or follower. He is very easy to rate and is kind to other horses. Rocky has an amazing walk on him! He can out walk most horses and is a phenomenal hill climber! He is exceptionally sure footed and picks great trail! He is such a thoughtful guy! On top of all of this, Rocky is incredibly smooth to ride! His trot is very comfortable and his canter is just to die for! Rocky would love to continue his life of trail adventuring! He would be an amazing trail horse for someone who just wanted to calmly walk down the trail, or someone who wanted to add some speed and distance as well. He also enjoys the arena and has a wonderful dressage foundation, but would prefer a home where the trail is involved as well! Rocky would be best suited for an Intermediate or above rider. Rocky takes his cues from his rider. If you are confident, he will be confident. He is very in tune with his human on the ground and in the saddle! Last shod: September 6, 2023~Rocky is wonderful for the farrier. Rocky is UTD on all vaccines. Teeth Floated: December 2022 Rocky suffered an injury to his right front in June of 2021 after completing a 50 mile Endurance ride. He rested, recovered, and did rehab until June of 2022 and has been completely sound and going down the trail ever since! Rocky just recently passed a lameness evaluation with flying colors and is ready to start his journey with his new partner! Photo credit: Penny Green
