I'm sure I'm biased, but this is a wonderful colt. Born on the 4th of July, he has been bold and SO friendly since the day he was born, whinnying to everyone walking in at just hours old. He is out of my liver chestnut, beautiful moving Thoroughbred mare by Kantharos, out of a General Meeting daughter. This colt was bred for correct, beautiful, but moderate movement and versatility with a wonderful mind and calm temperament. My goal was to produce a baby with both the mind and the movement to dabble in whatever the buyer chose and to be willing enough to enjoy it, correct enough to succeed, of moderate size for those who don't prefer giants, and with better soundness and longevity- basically, a novice/amateur-friendly horse of significant potential that someone could raise and train themselves because of their sane, friendly personality, and I think I got that. His canter has been gorgeous since the first steps, and his trot improves consistently. Like his mother, he appears bombproof and wicked smart. Show him something once and next time, he's got it. Farrier states "This is the best baby I have ever trimmed," and is happy to provide a reference for him. Dam is a beautifully-built, substantial, big-bodied (wears a 76 blanket at just 15hh), barefoot girl who moves like a much bigger horse with a gorgeous trot and loads of suspension. Sire is 16.2 1/2 and has tons of info available online at Hilltop Farm website. He was a very large colt at birth and all leg. He has some really cute, unsual markings on hind pasterns and a very small star. Appears very dark bay/brown. Adorable personality- full of mischief but so kind. He has a wonderful mother and pasture mates and it shows. I would love to see this one make someone's dream of raising and training their own baby a reality. Preference to experienced forever homes. He is not yet weaned. Intended registration is GOV, but open to suggestion if buyer has a preference.
