This is the type of young gelding that most people are looking for. "Eddie" was started in 2023 in a dressage program and then ridden for casual trail riding in the high dessert of Central Oregon. He has since been brought into my program for continued exposure, legging up and continued training as of November 2023. He has been ridden in the ring for dressage basics and body control. He is elastic and works well off the seat and legs, including lateral movements. He has a smooth sweeping way of traveling and is very comfortable at all three gaits. He has also been ridden out on trail, through water, in a group, around cattle, and has started ponying other horses. He would be a dream mount for a trainer to bring into a barn for a client and would be an excellent show prospect. This would be a great option for someone with a little skill to continue developing, in the ring or as an outdoor mount. He has the proper foundation and exposure to make him an ideal young horse for anyone to carry on with. Eddie just attended his first schooling show and was already in the blues for his English pleasure classes with sizeable groups of horses in each class. He was a gentleman in the warm up ring, tolerant of other horses acting up in classes, sane passing banners and crowds in bleachers, and mannered tied to the trailer. He ate and drank at the trailer and was good to load up in the dark in the wee hours to head out. He has already had a PPE with clean flexions. No X-rays. Dental and vaccinations current. No vices. Has been barefoot, but currently wearing his first pair of shoes (2/2024, flat plates). Eddie is comfortable around tractors and children. He's mannered and affectionate. Very snuggly. Your future dream horse.
