This is “ABE”, a BEGINNER FRIENDLY, super sweet, extremely gentle, and well trained purebred Fjord gelding. He is appropriately name “HONEST ABE” for his steadfast demeanor and loyal temperament. He is extraordinarily intelligent, faithful, and obedient. There are no surprises or tricks to him. He is calm and relaxed in all circumstances, including new territory and unfamiliar surroundings. He is broke to ride and drive. He is safe FOR ANY LEVEL TEAMSTER OR RIDER. He will lope nice circles and has a gorgeous “floaty” jog that is so comfy. His canter is collected and easy to sit. He has a big stop on whoa, he backs up, and moves off of leg cues. He will cross all depths of water with confidence and he trial rides out alone courageously and without hesitation. He will drive single or double and has been in holiday parades, driven around lots of commotion with sirens, bands playing, and tractors surrounding him. He is traffic safe on the roads and can be harnessed, hitched, and driven by a novice teamster. He is 15 hands tall and very thick made with a graceful way of traveling. He is 10 years old. He is surefooted and picks his way through rocks. He has a stately presence everywhere he goes and he catches the attention of everyone with his stately looks and regal characteristics. This Fjord stands to tack, mount from either side, and groom. He bathes, loads and unloads quietly, and stands tied for any length of time. He is an excellent choice for someone wanting all the great personality traits that come with the Fjords as well as the training to make him a top notch horse. You can do ranch work off of him, you can trail ride him, take him to the hitch classes, plow the garden, or go on the wagon trains. He’s versatile, extremely safe, true, and sincerely aims to please his rider. He loves attention, comes right up to you, and has the personality of a big playful puppy dog.
