13-year-old Lusitano cross, confirmed PSG with some of the GP movements started.
He is the perfect horse for someone who wants a push button FEl horse on a budget. He is the ideal ladies horse standing at 15'3 hands and he is soft and solid in his frame, and very easy in his lateral work and transitions. He has three very beautiful gaits with a clear walk and canter.
He has lovely clean changes that are straightforward and a nice solid start in the piaffe and passage, which he loves to do. He is definitely a GP contender.
He requires age appropriate maintenance.
While I think he could be safe enough for an amateur in a program who wants to practice the movements in a familiar setting, he does require a more confident rider in new situations and in the show ring. He does have a tendency to spook at new things although he is never mean about it. This has improved tremendously as he has gotten more exposure, and his owner has shown and trail ridden him extensively and he has been a blast, however, he needs someone who accepts this quirk and who understands him.
