Finnegan (Finn) is a 2015 OTTB gelding standing 16.3hh. With experience up to Novice level at numerous venues across Alberta and the Western United States, Finn is showing himself to be a competitive junior/amateur mount with potential for higher level. Finn retired from the track in 2019 and only started his eventing career in 2022 after a brief period as a Western pleasure horse. He has been ridden since that time by an older teen in a high-quality eventing program where he has been carefully brought along. Finn has top 10 finishes in both Beginner Novice and Novice and will be competing at the Training level in the 2024 season. Finn also has experience with Jumper shows, competing at top Alberta venues up to the 0.9s with success. Finn is equally comfortable indoors and outdoors, showing on sand or grass or out on the cross-country course. Finn hacks out alone, or in a group. He has experience on varied terrain and through water crossings, banks, ditches, etc. He can always be trusted to tie, stand quietly for the farrier and the vet, and is good to bath, clip, and haul. Finn is an honest boy whose only desire is to please his rider. Finn is well suited to a confident junior or AA rider in a good program looking to gain experience at the Beginner Novice/Novice and 0.8/09 levels on a mount with potential for higher. A 5* home a must – we will not let this special boy go anywhere less than that! Price will increase as he moves up to Training this competition season. ` Contact Paige Dinnie at 403-615-2740 for more information.
