Finn is a 17 hand, 2013 off-track Thoroughbred who loves to jump. He has competed at 1 m (3’3”) in the jumper ring and has schooled up to 4’ (1.2 m) at home. He has also shown in the hunter ring at 2’9” (still green year eligible). He keeps improving with more experience and higher jumps! He has a big stride and lots of scope. He is very willing at the jumps without spooking, is forgiving of rider mistakes at the jumps, and is not a stopper. He is a nice mover, has plenty of stamina, and likes learning new things which also makes him a good prospect for 3-day eventing (current rider does not do cross country, so he has not been schooled over cross country jumps).

He loads and will stand tied at the trailer, a hitch rail, or in cross ties. He is good for the vet and the farrier (currently straight shod all around). No special diet (he eats Bermuda hay, pellets 60/40 Bermuda/alfalfa, and calf-manna). Microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. Lunges nicely (including over jumps) and works well in a round pen at liberty. Comfortable riding around other horses and very well-behaved at shows.

We purchased and started jumping him in November 2022 (he had no prior hunter/jumper experience). He has shown in spring 2023 and spring 2024. He is smart and a very fast learner who enjoys working and loves being at shows!
