Patrick is a stocky built, 15.2hh, 5 year old, Draftcross, gelding with movie star good looks, muscles upon muscles and a heart of gold! What color is he? We aren't sure either, he is what some folks call a dark palomino while others call him a golden sorrel... either way he shines and sparkles in the sunlight and he is as flashy as the day is long! Patrick has completed our program with flying colors! Everything that we have asked him to do, Patrick has done with ease and training him has effortless as he is totally agreeable to do whatever that is asked of him. Patrick is trained to lay down on cue and he likes to show off his talents. He is a horse that is very laid back and a horse that will build his riders confidence levels. Patrick is safe for the whole family to ride from the little kids to the eldest granny, anyone can have an enjoyable ride on this guy. No shocker that with a horse this gentle, he is everyone's best friend and loves any type of attention, especially grooming. Patrick has a smooth trot, takes his leads and will lope nice circles. He neckreins around, has a good stop, sidepasses to open/shut gates, moves off of leg pressure and backs with ease. He rides well indoor or anywhere outdoor. Not only does he go western but he goes english and will go over jumps. He holds steady coming into the jumps and lands balanced. Patrick has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife and he has been ridden in the mountains. Patrick is great on the trails, he picks his way through rocky terrain, crosses deep water, scales slopes with ease and walks across deadfall as well. He has also been driven down the highways under harness and is traffic safe. We have ridden him through town and he is totally safe there as well. Patrick sells with no bad habits, he has never been lame and has a clean vet exam on file.
