Denny Shines, affectionately known as Mamba, is an exceptionally handsome black gelding with the kind of eye appeal, pedigree, and ability that is hard to come by! This is a truly outstanding individual that combines a finished performance horse resume with an incredibly broke, gentle, and willing disposition. Mamba is a finished heel horse that knows his job and does it exceptionally well. He is solid in the box, scores correctly, has plenty of speed and rate, a big stop, and is stout to the horn. He puts you exactly where you need to be every time, making your job easy and giving you the same honest trip run after run. He is the kind that stays broke, stays consistent, and doesn’t require constant tuning to perform at his best.
Outside of the roping pen, Mamba is an absolute pleasure to ride! He has seen all phases of ranch work from doctoring sick calves to checking fences and trotting wheat pastures. He is extremely well broke with a fancy, correct handle, responsive to his rider, soft in the bridle, and has all the buttons you could ask for. He rides just as nicely outside the arena as he does inside, and has spent plenty of time on the trails. He crosses whatever you put in front of him, handles different terrain with confidence, and stays quiet and levelheaded in new surroundings. Whether you’re working in the arena, riding across the pasture, or simply enjoying a relaxing trail ride, Mamba is willing, dependable, uncomplicated and looks incredibly handsome doing any job!
Mamba is a son of Nighttime Shiner, giving him a performance-oriented pedigree to complement his natural ability and extensive training. His breeding, combined with his athleticism, good mind, and extensive training, makes him especially appealing for anyone who appreciates a quality performance gelding. He is absolutely gentle, has a kind disposition, and is a true pleasure to have around. Mamba is the type of horse that doesn’t need excuses made for him. He is honest, stays broke, and gives you the same willing attitude every time you saddle him.
If you’re looking for a fancy black gelding that is finished on the heel side, broke to death, gentle enough for a wide variety of riders, and has the looks and pedigree to back it all up, Mamba is the man!
