Meet Waylon- a 5 year old Friesian x Quarter Horse x Percheron gelding standing 15.3 hands, making him the perfect size for riders of all ages and experience levels.
Waylon is the definition of versatile & safe. Frame him up into a beautiful dressage frame and trot down centerline, or flop the reins and enjoy the exact same steady rhythm out on the trail. He has a mouth soft as butter, rides in a simple snaffle, and is one of those rare horses that genuinely wants to take care of his rider.
We trust Waylon wholeheartedly with our family. Our 8 year old rider has taken dressage lessons on him, gone cross-country schooling, and comfortably trotted small starter jumps, while Waylon is equally happy stepping up to jump 3 foot fences with ease. He has been hauled off the farm extensively and remains the same quiet, dependable horse in every environment.
Waylon has done just about everything β ridden bareback, ridden double, gone into town, been to the beach, attended horse shows and hunter paces, and even had a bull whip cracked off of him without batting an eye. From the smallest child in the barn to the oldest rider, Waylon takes care of everyone who swings a leg over him. We have taken him through many different obstacles as well! It is honestly difficult to put into words just how special this gelding is.
Waylon truly is the entire package: phenomenal brain, fancy movement, beautiful looks, incredible versatility, and a personality that makes you smile every time you walk into the barn. He has no bad habits or vices and is the kind of once in a lifetime gelding everyone spends years searching for. We love Waylon and will go down as an βEliteβ horse from our program!
