Some horses are bred for a particular job, while others seem to have been made for just about everything. Tarzan belongs to the latter! 16 hands tall and dressed in a striking black and white coat, this four-year-old draft cross gelding has an impressive collection of talents, a wonderfully gentle nature, and enough personality to make him just as enjoyable on the ground as he is under saddle.
From the quiet of a winding trail to the commotion of a busy stockyard, Tarzan is right at home wherever the day takes him. He’s seasoned in aspects of ranch life, has spent countless hours exploring the trails, and is no stranger to penning, sorting, and loading cattle. Put him in the arena, and you’ll find a horse with a refined handle, a genuine one-hand neck rein, and the ability to transition comfortably between English and Western disciplines. He even enjoys jumping! Trade his saddle for a harness, and Tarzan is equally capable of driving single or double, adding yet another dimension to his already impressive skill set.
For all that he can do, it’s his disposition that truly sets him apart. Tarzan is exceptionally gentle, easy to catch, and has the sort of quiet patience that makes everyday handling effortless. He stands politely for saddling, harnessing, and mounting, without making a production out of any of it. Baths, grooming, and attention are never a chore with this fellow; in fact, he’d probably vote for a little extra pampering whenever the opportunity presents itself!
Tarzan is proof that you don’t have to sacrifice kindness for capability or good looks for a good mind. Whether your plans involve a set of driving lines, an English saddle, a day’s work horseback, or simply enjoying the countryside, he’s equipped to make the most of it. A horse with this much to offer and such an agreeable way of offering it deserves a closer look.
