Little Lady Widow “Lola” is a gorgeous buckskin 2020 AQHA mare standing 14.2h. Lola has 45 days under saddle with us. She was broke prior to coming to us but we focused mainly on groundwork prior to her turning three and then slowly introduced her to new concepts under saddle. Lola will w/t/c a circle nicely and understands leg pressure well. She has a decent neck rein that is improving. She tends to be more woah than go and needs a little bit of extra leg for to pick up her canter in the beginning of work. Once she gets warmed up, she rides more true to your leg. Lola is very level headed, quiet, and generally safe for her age; that being said, we don’t recommend her for a very timid or beginner rider. We think she would be best suited for an intermediate to experienced rider as she is still furthering her learning herself. Lola is pretty brave off property and has had no explosive baby behaviors when hauled to new locations. She is great on the trail and does not baulk at any obstacles. We have rode her on the trail both with other horses and alone with no theatrics. She has a very calm demeanor and is easy to have in the barn. She ties, crossties and stands quietly. She is good to groom, tack, and bathe. She currently stalls during the day and turns out at night in a mixed herd with zero drama. She is not mareish in the slightest with our herd. Lola is sound and does not require maintenance. Please pm or text/call (630) 977-9100 for more info or video.
