Oat is a 12 year old bay and white paint gelding standing a true 16 hh wearing a 3# shoe and built like a horse that has earned his keep. Heβs ranch made, broke and seasoned. The kind that you can haul anywhere and go to work on. He trail rides without a fuss, has picked up broncs, shagged bulls and has caught more loose cattle than most horses will ever see. Heβs even drug a buffalo out of the brush. Heβs also broke to drive! He has been used several winters to feed hay. Oat is straight up dependable with a good mind, a big motor, and no nonsense. One hand neck rein, lope a nice circle in the arena, open and shut gates off of him, you name it, solid handle! Ready to step off the trailer and go to work for whoever swings a leg over him. Oat is an absolute dream to shoe, our farrier has been in the business for 30+ years and says this is one of his most favorite horses heβs ever shod. He picks his foot up for you and holds it on his own. Heβs great to catch and be around and is an absolute gentleman on the ground. Good to tie, load, saddle, you name it.
