Peppy Smoke Shines, known around the barn as Mister, is a 2019 AQHA gelding standing 15.1 hands. For those who appreciate a horse that’s been taught the finer points of riding, Mister has plenty to offer. He’s a polished, well-broke gelding with an impressive handle, quality movement, and the kind of responsiveness that makes every ride enjoyable.
Mister is a pleasure to ride, whether you’re asking him to perform a maneuver or simply enjoying a leisurely trip around the arena. He turns around willingly in both directions, has a big, correct stop, and executes flying lead changes with ease. He carries himself in a beautiful, collected headset and has a soft, responsive feel that makes him easy to operate. His training reflects an emphasis on correctness, balance, and attention to his rider. Mister has been trained in the ranch riding events and hauled to a handful of ranch horse shows, giving him a nice foundation for someone interested in pursuing that discipline.
Beyond his arena abilities, Mister is equally enjoyable out on the trails. He’s comfortable traveling through the countryside, gets along well with other horses, and makes a pleasant companion for a day spent horseback. His versatility allows him to transition from more technical arena work to a relaxed afternoon on the trails without missing a beat. With his quality training, exceptional handle, and well-rounded disposition, Mister is the kind of gelding that makes you look forward to saddling up, regardless of what the day has in store.
