A beautiful mover in the ring. Apollo is the perfect combination of whoa & go. He has an airy trot & an amazing canter. Has nice up & downward transitions. Can enter a canter from a near standstill. Travels in the correct lead. Soft in the bridle. He will pick himself up, collect, and ride with contact, but just as easily travels on a loose rein. Moves laterally & works well off your feet and seat. Apollo is willing and brave over 2-2β3 fences. Plenty of scope to take a rider to higher levels. He enjoys a challenge.
Apollo has traveled off property to various arenas & out on the trail. Drives single, down the road, to church, & to town. Easy to load & haul. He hacks out alone or in a group, is not herd bound. Confidently crosses water, natural obstacles, sure-footedly navigates uneven terrain, goes up and down inclines, across bridges, & is traffic safe.
Apollo is a pleasure to own & have at home. Impeccable ground manors. Ground ties for grooming, to harness, and to saddle. He enjoys countless minutes of grooming from the kids. Always calm, patient, & tolerant of the chaos that comes with children. Heβs been lead in and out of the stall by my son more times than I can count while doing my barn chores. Always easy to catch, does well in a stall, or perfectly content living outside in a mixed herd. Apollo will βpick you upβ at the mounting block, stand patiently until you ask him to walk on, and side pass over to wherever you decide to get off. He also, offers the same manors while mounting & dismounting from the ground.
