Height: 16.1 hh Color: Brown Lemley is a true all-around horse and has been a winner or top finalist in all of his disciplines, even winning a grand champion for halter performance geldings. His specialties are patterns - particularly horsemanship and trail. He swept the 2021 AQHA Region 2 youth horsemanship classes - 10 1st places, and ranked in the top 55 of AQHA L2 youth horsemanship nationally that year. He’s spent the past 3 years working with a youth rider. They were the North Dakota L1 youth 13U all around reserve high point champions and the AQHA Region 2 L1 youth 13U reserve high point champions in 2021 and together won dozens of awards, trophies, ribbons, etc. He is a very special and talented boy! Lemley is a big sweetheart and has a wonderful disposition. He is very calm and gentle. He aims to please and works hard. He is patient, good natured and a gentleman. He loads and hauls well and doesn’t have any weird or naughty habits. He stands quietly for bathing, clipping and banding. You can ride him bare back and ground tie him. He’s been to AQHA shows all over the Midwest and nothing much phases him. He is healthy and sound. He wears 2 front shoes during show season, and while he normally goes barefoot in the off season, he currently wears them for extra support after an abscess (he made a full recovery and is back working in the arena like usual). He does not have a history of any major medical issues and is up to date on all vaccinations and care. We have a wonderful team of vets, farriers, trainers and boarding facility employees and he is truly living his best life. He is 16 years young and has a lot of gas left in the tank. My high school daughter finished her youth show career in 2022. We’d like to find him a new show partner, preferably someone in the Upper Midwest near or in North Dakota. He’s appropriate for anyone ranging from a small fry new rider all the way to a select rider who just wants to hop on and have fun with a talented, dependable horse who enjoys doing his job.
