Looking to find a new home for our monster of a gelding Chance! Chance is a huge 16.3+ and 1600 # grade gelding. Quarter Horse crossed with draft I’m sure. He is around 17 years old. He was used on a ranch when young but was turned out to pasture after an injury to his hoof. Since then he has been used as an off and on trail horse. We have owned him for 10 years. He isn’t fancy broke and could honestly use a refresher. We pulled him out of the field last weekend and he saddled right up without issue after sitting for a year. He has mainly been the horse pulled out for our larger friends to ride. Chance isn’t spooky and will ride Pretty much wherever you point him. He has been to many state parks. Silver Creek Falls, McIver, Willamette Mission, many others. He has also been to the beach quite a bit. He ties, saddles well, stands to be mounted, good with his feet for cleaning but is so so for the farrier. The more consistent you are the better he is. We have always had him barefoot. He loads like a dream, stays in fences, good around dogs, he is use to all aspects of the farm, deer, chickens, good with other horses, not a herd bound freak. He is an easy keeper. He isn’t a beginners horse however has had confident beginners on him. He is best suited for a confident rider due to his size and the need for a bit of a tune up. He is gentle and won’t hurt you. Again, he has been a trail horse.. no lead changes, no W/T/C in a circle in an arena. He’s been an outside horse. Not a fancy broke child’s horse, not a first time beginners horse. He is a good guy who needs a home that will give him a job! He does have a cosmetic blemish on his front hoof from an injury when he was young. A real nice big horse looking for his rider. He would also make a wonderful pet as he thinks he is a big ol dog!! He is being listed for sale due to health circumstances… cancer $3800 to a great home. His price reflects his need of a little tune up and his cosmetic blemish Please only contact me if you are serious!! No tire kickers and no questions that have already been answered in my ad. The guy riding him in the photos is 6’3 and 280+Lbs Thank you
