Stellar was a rescue last fall who came to us too thin and neglected. We got him wormed, weight on him, trimmed well and he is working great with his tune up. Stellar is a very sweet horse and has a lot of manners on the ground and under saddle. No bite, buck, kick, rear, etc. He has perfect ground manners. loads and hauls easily, ties, no funny business when tacking up, rides nicely, etc. His only "glitch" is he needs his feet trimmed regularly with a slight club foot on the right front. If trimmed every 8 weeks it is not an issue when he has nice hard feet and stands perfectly for trims at a hitching post. He is smart so not for a raw beginner when used for 4H in the past we were told. We rode him cold backed and no lunging with just a snaffle and he was walking out and doing as asked right away for the volunteer pictured. He also will get ulcers if fed grass hay so Stellar has to eat alfalfa the rest of his life. We are looking for a sedate trail and ranch home for him so no gaming, jumping, driving, showing, etc. He has some get up and go when ridden by someone with experience but more whoa than go. He is so sweet he needs separate fencing for paddock or stall for eating or he will be pushed off his hay. We are enjoying him but he is now rehabbed and all ready for his new trail home and a family who will pamper him when he adores attention. We are guesting he is a Paint/Appy cross when they did not share any paperwork. This is an adoption so he will be on a rescue contract to sign and say you will keep him the rest of his life to play for a while. Stellar has a lot of years left to play then retire with you. Let me know when you want to come and test drive. Cash only. No trades.
