Achilles is a kind boy who loves his person and loves his herd. He makes friends quickly wherever he goes! Through no fault of his own, we are needing to rehome him. We purchased him thinking he was farther along in his training, but unfortunately he is just too green for our daughter. He lunges great, walks on a hot walker, accepts a saddle, and will give in to the bit. He is great with groundwork, including walking/trotting/cantering over poles. He is good to bathe, brush, and clip. He is sensitive about his ears and doesn't like them touched. We would like to see him go to a home where someone will either give him the time and attention he needs to become a safe horse under saddle, or who will accept him for who he is and love on him unconditionally as a companion or endurance horse prospect. If we had an open pasture or the land required for a horse, we would keep him in a heartbeat. However, he needs more training than we are capable of giving him, and we do not want to see him standing in a paddock when we know he has the ability to be a great horse for the right person. We would love to see him go to a home with at least one other horse so he has a friend.
