Smokie is front of the line when it comes to liking people and attention. He is easy to handle and hitch alone. Eager to explore and not spooky. He has nice gaits and is polishing up his dressage in the ring. With a little more work he could easily do combined driving. In hand he will snatch grass if allowed, but quickly gives up if handler is consistant. In the pasture Smokie can hold his own in a herd of full sized horses. Playful and a bit pesky, all in good nature. His early history is not known but he shows no signs of health issues nor abuse. His past year have been being a companion pony for a horse. He would boldly run ahead at liberty on the trail. His known driving training has been the past six months. He took to it well and might have had driving in his youth. Currently Smokie is teaching beginner drivers the ropes. He is patient and fun. Children have sat on his back for photos but we can't say he has been ridden.
