Lola is an approximately 4-5 year old (not confirmed) draft cross mare who came to me pregnant. She was rescued from Peabody kill pen by the woman I purchased her from. Approximately 16hh; 1100lbs. Everything I know about her comes from my own research, the previous owner's details, or is information from Peabody. I believe Lola has had a very hard life. She is skiddish and I would consider her unhandled. She currently has a halter on; and once caught has good manners and will lead and load but is very afraid. She has NEVER offered to buck, kick, bite, rear or otherwise show any signs of aggression towards anyone or anything. Her go-to maneuver is to move away from people. She has had one healthy filly with me and foaled easily and without intervention. I do not have any other reproductive history on her. I've owned her since 11/22. She has a myriad of brands all over her body - happy to share with new owners any info I have from my own research. I was contacted by a trainer who has worked with Lola in the past. Lola can make progress with the right person and trainer - that person is unfortunately just not me. She is overdue on feet and teeth due to her fear and anxiety. She would make an excellent project or potentially a recip mare with some additional love and handling. Or, even just a really gorgeous lawn ornament. Long term loving home is a must. She's up for discussion because her fear and anxiety is more than my skillset can match, and if there is a place that can give her a wonderful, long-term home I want to try and afford her that opportunity. Otherwise, she will remain with me for as long as she wishes to be here.
