We absolutely love this filly… and honestly, part of us hopes no one buys her so we have a good excuse to keep her. Pippa is that special.
She’s a fancy blaze-faced buckskin filly with presence, personality, and brains. She was an absolute dream to halter break — smart, willing, and the kind that meets you at the gate because she genuinely loves attention.
Pippa is sired by Midnight Kat DR (“MC”), a stallion backed by elite performance bloodlines. MC is by Starlight Midnight, a 2002 black stallion and NRHA money-earner who qualified for the 2007 AQHA World Show in Junior Heeling. Starlight Midnight earned over 60 AQHA points and his Register of Merit. He is sired by the legendary Grays Starlight, whose offspring have won over $10 million and made him one of the leading sires in the NRHA, NRCHA, and NCHA.
MC’s dam, Slick As A Cat DR, is by Magneticat, a gorgeous red roan known for bone, size, athleticism, and cow sense. Magneticat is sired by Metallic Cat, one of the hottest and most influential stallions in the cutting horse industry. Slick As A Cat DR’s dam goes back to Smooth As A Cat, stacking even more cutting power into this pedigree.
On the bottom side, Pippa is out of Nelli, an eye-catching buckskin mare cousin Patricia originally wanted to keep. Nelli is big, impressive, and striking — bred to perform. Her dam, Pepper, is by Dry Spec A Pepper, the 1986 Eastern Idaho QH Association Senior Cutting Champion and a granddaughter of Dry Doc — NCHA Futurity Champion, $85,149 in earnings, AQHA Reserve World Champion Cutting, and a Hall of Fame inductee.
Nelli is also a granddaughter of Cue Bars Laddie, a roan stallion shown as a reiner, cowhorse, and rope horse. He earned the Open AQHA All Around Trophy and is a CCHA Hall of Fame Horse.
