Lovely mare for somebody looking for a project on a budget, now available in Ocala, FL near the Florida Horse Park:
Leprechaun Lane's Roux-Bii Red, aka "Cricket" is a lovely 9 year old, 16.2 hh Zangersheid mare with loads of potential. She has shown through starter eventing with her previous owner. She is green over fences, but incredibly willing. Oh, and don't let that red hair fool you. On the ground, she is an absolute love bug who always keeps it classy. She stands for the vet and farrier, and to be clipped and bathed. She is also barefoot all around. She had to have some time off work due to her previous owner's health issues, and during that time, in 2023, she foaled an Irish sport horse filly.
While I have owned her, she schooled starter cross country with my YR student. She is responsive to the leg without being electric, and is responsive when asked to come back. She has bucked but never anything dangerous or excessive. She has started flying changes and has them available for a well balanced rider. I can see her happily going any direction with a confident rider who wants a talented project without breaking the bank. She has the class for dressage or hunters, or the confidence and brain if somebody hoped to keep pursuing her career as an eventer.
