2012 Registered Palomino Broodmare – Shining Ray of Sun “Ray” – 15.2hh Ray is a beautiful, well-put-together Palomino mare who has produced two lovely foals and would make a fantastic broodmare again. She stands 15.2 hands and is excellent to handle—great on the ground, stands patiently for grooming, and is wonderful for the farrier. She lunges well, trailers easily, and gets along with both herd mates and being solo. Ray had time put on her during her younger years but than sat while she was being bred. She had 90 days of professional training two years ago in eastern Washington, followed by another 30 days in fall 2024. However, she hasn’t been worked consistently since then. I purchased her recently without fully realizing the level of tune-up and consistent work she’d need to progress. With my current schedule, work, and family commitments, I don’t have the time or experience to bring her along properly. That said, Ray is incredibly sweet, willing, and has a lot of go under saddle. She needs an experienced rider to continue her training and bring out her full potential. She’s ready to go in whatever direction you choose—whether that’s continued under-saddle work or returning to the broodmare band. With the right rider or program, she’s going to make an exceptional partner.
