Canela is sweet calm and patient. She has been a wonderful trail and pleasure horse. She is safe with beginners and can be ridden all over the farm/ roads/arena in a bridle or halter. She takes care of her rider! She is no nonsense and honest.
She has a big smooth over tracking walk that is extremely comfortable to ride. She loves to be ridden and can go for hours. She can be ridden alone at night and in a halter or bridle. She has seen trucks, cars, motorcycles, dogs, chickens, etc. Her trot is very smooth and easy to sit. She can do a slow jog to a long ground covering trot. Her canter is smooth, ground covering and round. She is a very correct and straight mover and she could be developed into a higher level dressage horse with her movement. She has a huge stride and steps far under herself which gives an incredible floating & well balanced feeling.
She is trained on the longe line & likes to jump small obstacles. I bought her as a 10-year-old with zero miles and started her myself . She has never had any health problems whatsoever and has a very healthy supple back.
She is an easy keeper, is happy on a low starch grain & does not need free choice hay/ grass.
After a year off, she has been in light work for two months.
When ridden often, she gets fit very quickly. Her sire was a 16 .3 h black imported dressage horse who sold for100k and her dam was from the famous Firme bullfighting line. She was cleared for breeding. I would consider a lease to the right person. Life circumstance is the reason she is being offered.
