Pablito URB (Lito) is a gorgeous blood bay with doral striping, a sweet demeanor, and a level head. Lito is well bred with a high percentage of military lines, giving him strong bone and a hefty build. He stands at 16.2 and gives the impression of an even bigger horse. Under saddle, Lito has solid dressage basics with some lateral work, but his canter is still developing strength and reach. He was started lightly at 3.5 and went to JR Robles for training and saddle time as a 4 year old. He has cliniced with some of the greats including Warwick Schiller, Amy Skinner, Nahshon Cook, Pippa Callanan and more. He is good in the arena, but is a big boy and still maturing so I have not pushed his training. He loves a trail ride with friends. He insists on leading, is not spooky and walks forward on the trails. Lito is not hot, but could be considered a bit behind the leg. For all of his flash and brio he is a safe ride. Lito is busy and does best with plenty of turnout and friends. He is a bit of a stall prince and prefers a stall at night and shelter while turned out. He is neat and tidy in his stall and respectful of fences. He has been turned out with geldings, mares, colts and even a yearling filly. He is gentle and has not kicked or bit when the colt is pestering to play. Lito is the fun uncle in the pasture. Lito is conformationally correct with clean legs and good feet. He has not needed shoes but would benefit from shoes or boots on trails. Lito loads, bathes stands for farrier and vet and has no vices. Lito has great ground manners but is a confident horse and will test (diving for grass, etc) if his handler is not confident. Because of this, and his tendency to be busy and eager to engage with his surroundings, a beginner home is not recommended. With that said, Lito has had most of his training by an AA, and is a solid amateur horse for someone with experience. Lito would normally be priced in the $30,000 to $35,000 range but because of an Xray finding in his C6-C7 vertebrae I am asking $25,000. Lito has no noticeable adverse symptoms from his neck and it is estimated that 35 to 40% of horses have this “normal variation”. I will be particular about where he goes. I prefer he go to a home that is not solely focused on going up the dressage levels. Lito is most happy with a variety of dressage, trail riding, Working Equitation (WE), etc. He has been introduced to all the WE obstacles. Ridden video available. Selling due to the owner's health and family needs, no fault of this lovely boy. Currently located with trainer Morgan Wagner (Endo the Blind) in Eugene Oregon.
