Gold N Enchanted “Riah” is a lovely, well bred 10 year old Arabian mare standing 14.2hh. She has a kind heart, a willing mind, and a good foundation to build on. Though still green, she’s had professional training and continues to progress steadily. She spent the winter with a trainer gaining trail mileage and proved herself to be a capable trail partner. She handles dogs, bikes, and hikers, and has been on single track, technical, and open trails. She’s sure footed and bombs downhills. Water crossings still need some work, but she will cross with encouragement. She worked up to a 19 mile trail ride. As of recently, Riah has been in consistent dressage training 2–3 times a week. She is green broke and still learning how to carry herself correctly. At times she’ll raise her head and brace, but she softens back into frame. She will only get better with time. Her canter is still a work in progress (see video) — she’s figuring it out, but it’s rideable and not dangerous. With continued work, she’ll come along beautifully. She is sweet, safe, and very people-oriented. Riah has never bucked, reared, or offered anything questionable under saddle. That said, she is still developing confidence and does best with a calm, patient rider who offers clear, consistent leadership. She’s smart, sensitive, and thrives with routine. She can get anxious when tied or tacked up, but has made significant progress through consistent handling and a thoughtful training approach. She loads easily and has hauled in both slant and stock trailers, tacked up and with other horses. She’s “okay” for the farrier — a bit fidgety, but not dangerous. Started under saddle in August at age 9 and initially worked with a beginner, Riah was incredibly kind and tolerant throughout. She loves attention and is gentle with kids on the ground. I’ve led my 5 year-old around on her many times. That said, she’s not yet a kid or beginner’s horse. If she were, I wouldn’t be letting her go — that’s exactly what I’m looking for long term for my children. Riah is UTD on teeth, feet, and vaccines. She’s well cared for and will remain in professional training until sold. I’m only offering her because she needs more time and consistency than I can currently give. With the right rider, she has the potential to become an exceptional partner in any discipline. Mid four figures. No tire kickers — serious inquiries only. A good home is a must. I’m not in a hurry and will be selective. I truly love this mare, and this decision hasn’t come lightly. Located in Middleton, Idaho.
