Bart is broke, neck reins, W/T/L. Has a beautiful stop and backs up and moves off your leg. Rides in a hackamore, snaffle or halter. He's about the sweetest in your pocket horse you could ask for. More whoa than go but will go if asked. No spook, bite or buck. Will lunge on a line or free lunge in a round pen. He's had all 4 legs roped and does not care. Crosses water and bridges. He's turned out with my goat and is used to my goat who has ZERO horse sense and will headbutt him all day long and used him and his personal scratching post and he couldn't care less. I've used him to pony my horses on, dragged rope dummies and is pretty dang bomb proof and nothing bothers him. Easy to catch in the field and will walk right up to you. Solid feet, currently barefoot. He would do best with an intermediate or higher-level rider. I have had kids on him and very green riders; he babysits them, but I would not consider him a "kids' horse" as he does have his moments of "I don't want to" and does have sensitive buttons that green riders don't know how to use. When he does have green or young riders, he takes care of them and is very much a walk / trot only. He does not have a mean bone in his body, and will baby sit but I have not had enough "green" riders on him or kids on him to consider him a push button kid broke horse. He loves the trails and would prefer to go to a home that mainly trail rides. He will go all day down the trail. He's been roped on behind the sled and has roped a lead steer. I have done minimal box work on him; he does need box work if you want to rope on him out of the box with live cattle. With the sled, he's quiet and calm. He's also been through the gaming events, walk trot only for fun, nothing serious but he seems to enjoy playing around on the events. He would honestly make a great all around 4H/ WAHSET/ OHSET horse. A couple months ago, he did end up with a small puncture in his left eye. He has been cleared by my vet and confirmed the puncture is healed up and he has vision in his eye. He does have a small scar but will go away with time. This does not affect him. He had a couple months off, and I just started riding him over the last couple weeks. He picked up right where we left off. He is fine with time off but is happier having a job and doing something a little more consistent.
