Peyote is a phenomenal cow-cutting mare! She has done it all from cutting in the show pen to working cattle on the ranch to doing some sorting. She will stand tied all day, sound, and doesn’t require any maintenance. Currently, she is being worked on cattle 3 days a week to maintain her training. She works off of your leg, and you don’t have to put much pressure on her mouth. I would say a beginner/intermediate rider could ride her. I wouldn’t suggest her for a first-time horse owner. She is like a sports car: fast and catty. She is bred to work cows, and that’s what she loves to do. If you are in the industry, then you know. Ideally, I would like to see her continue on with cow cutting or cow sorting. She will do the trail riding but can spook at certain things. No buck, just a side step if she is scared. She is a really sweet mare and will work her little heart out for you. I do have cattle and a flag available to showcase her skills. I also have multiple videos of her under saddle and working on the cows. Why am I selling. I bought a new 3 year old and would like to invest my time into him. I will charge a small fee to use my cattle and serious inquires only.
