Divina is a 14hh, thick boned, 8 year old BLM *gaited* mustang mare from the Nevada Wild Horse Range. She was lightly started under saddle as a 4 year old, and then took a few year break in pasture. She’s been recently restarted under saddle, she walks, gaits and trots, and has a really nice canter. I’m not an expert on gaited horses, but she has several different gaits, all of them smooth and none are a pace. She’s been ridden in the arena and quite a lot of trail experience. She would excel at endurance, not just because she can go all day but because she’s VERY level headed, has powerful gaits, brave, and a desire to trail ride. Don't read endurance and think this is a hot horse, she's more whoa than go. In a group she can be a little competitive when being passed, but follows willingly. Her ground manners are excellent. She lunges beautifully on or off line. This is a horse who was started slow, is incredibly sure footed, and has a solid great mind. She is still quite green. If you only want to trail ride she's ready, if you want to do advanced arena work she will need an advanced rider, or someone willing to work with a trainer to finish her. She does know a few liberty tricks, can pick up her rider at the mounting block, shakes her head no, and can side pass in hand. She is a quick study, and would love to learn more liberty, and tricks. She is not spooky, no bucks, rears, or any vices. She does have a tendency to toss her head if she doesn't understand. She’s very sound, never worn shoes, and is a very easy keeper. Currently lives in a pasture with 4 other horses, and is absolutely no trouble, not mareish, easy to catch, and an incredible partner. She's only for sale because I have two very small children, and distance riding isn't in my near future. I don't want such a special mare as Divina to sit and wait for me while she's in her absolute prime.
