Currently walking, trotting, and cantering both with and without a saddle, she accepts the bit and responds well to pressure. She naturally works with her nose to the ground, making her a fantastic Western Pleasure prospect.
Her ground manners are excellent—she stands, picks up all four feet for the farrier, and is respectful on the ground. She’s had a rider’s weight in the saddle with no reaction, and a leg has been swung over. She’s also been handled by non-horsey folks and never bats an eye. Jump around, crawl around, walk around—she does not care!
She’s a quick learner with a laid-back attitude and no “mare moments.” The only thing she asks for is a slow hand when tightening the cinch—she’s not rude, just a little wiggly.
