Frankie is a 17 hand 6yo Danish Warmblood by Franklin and out of a Sir Donnerhall I mare. He is truly every professional’s dream horse and is a phenomenal FEI prospect! Frankie was bred by Camilla Daughberg in Denmark and later bought by Gunnar and Birgit Ostergaard as a yearling due to his stunning movement out in the field. He was eventually imported in July of 2022 when one of Gunnar’s students bought him, and later that fall he was started under saddle by Will Kupec. I bought Frankie back in December of 2024 in the hopes that he might be an upper level eventer for me. Since starting him over fences though, he’s shown me that he does not enjoy cross country. I’m ready to find him a home where he can thrive and be his most confident self. While he does enjoy jumping in the arena, he really is not the bravest, so I’m currently marketing him to a dressage home. He’s shown at some local dressage shows at Training Level and is schooling First Level with me at home. If his bloodlines don’t do it for you, his massive movement definitely will. Because of his size and movement, he is best suited for a very experienced amateur or a professional. He is a more forward thinking and sensitive horse under saddle, and he has an incredible work ethic. Along with his stunning presence and uphill build, he’s also very intelligent and has a great demeanor. He is still quite young though and can be insecure at times, and he really finds comfort in a steady program with a confident rider who can show him the way. He also enjoys hacking with a friend and behaves great off property. He is super sweet, in your pocket, and just loves being doted on. He does great with overnight trips to shows and clinics, and he successfully completed a combined test back in April. Frankie loads/hauls great, stands well for farrier, grooming, and baths. He does paw sometimes and will scrape his teeth on the stall bars, but honestly I was willing to overlook these unideal behaviors due to the incredible talent this horse has. He has no past injuries or lamenesses. More pictures and videos can be found at the links below, or visit www.jpeventing.com.
