Big Chief If you are looking for a horse that will get you attention out on the trail I have him. Big chief is a work horse cross, he stands 17 hands, 10 years old he’s UTD on shots, worming, shoes, and has 6 month cogins. The stats on this page only gave me the choice of pinto. He’s a tri colored pinto very flashy! He’ll get you attention anywhere you take him. Big Chief is the kind of horse that will stand in the middle of the road and expect you to scratch him, great ground manners, on the side of lazy, and loves scratching. He’s easy to tack, wash, load unload, and pretty good with his feet. You can lead Chief up to anything and mount him, he can be ridden bare back, saddled. I’ve used him to teach young horses to lead. He’s got a ground covering walk, and a big trout with beautiful leg action. This big guy can carry a big man up and down the mountains through the steep and deep the whole time stepping over logs picking his way through rocks, walks in and out of water and take him swimming he’s not afraid of cars bicycles, trucks with trailers. He’s done 60 miles of mountain trails in 3 days he didn’t loose a lot of weight and still had more engine to go. Saying all of this he does have some bad attitudes if he doesn’t want to go your way, he’s not hard to talk him into it and if your paying attention you can usually stop it before he knows what he doesn’t want to do. I would say he’s not for a beginner because of that. I have tons of pictures and videos. Please feel free to use my phone number to text or call me.
