ON CONSIGNMENT! Racecar (Jax) is a 2016 APHA gelding who stands 15.2 hands. Jax just finished up a 60 day tune up and is ready to find his new home. The owner has had Jax since he was a yearling and this is a very hard decision for her but he needs consistency and her littles need a kid horse. Jax needs to be rode consistently or he can get cold backed and crow hop the first few rides. He has sat hile being consigned and i hopped on with no back cinch and he rode off like a dream. He is very quiet and a super sweet boy. He can be a little spooky from time to time but with consistent work it gets better. Jax needs an intermediate rider or someone with confidence to be his leader. Jax knows everything a horse should under saddle. He is great in a herd and low man on the totem pole. First to greet you. Can be in the pasture or stalled. Jax has no known health issues or vices. He is not a cribber, good with children, no biting, kicking or rearing. Jax does need to be fed in a hay bag as he will eat every crumb and did have to have a dirt ball removed from his stomach. He stands great for the farrier. Jax is utd on worming, farrier and vaccines. He has not had his teeth floated. Located in Soap Lake On consignment Pros- -Good ground manners - no nipping, biting, or kicking ever! -Good in a stall (poops and pees is one spot) - no stall or boarding vices -no nervous pacing/weaving/ cribbing/ wood chewing, or stall kicking -content with any boarding situation and adjusts quickly -good in pasture turn outs - respects any kind of fence hotline/panel/ wood, - feed- can eat any type of hay (teff/orchard/ alfalfa/ grass, Timothy) - good with grain or without -sweet, calm, friendly - good for Farrier and feet (front shoes) - stands tied/ good in cross ties - loads good/ trailers good- longest it has taken him is 2-5 min while he calmly thinks about it. - primary use- arena riding good with indoor/ outdoor arena riding. I think he really loves indoor riding arenas - no diet restrictions/ medicine/ or special supplement - good with all horses/ low man on totem pole - good with bathing, fly spray, hair detangler spray, - good with fly mask/ fly sheets/ blankets/ boots, etc Cons- - gets cold backed- crow hop episodes when starting up after sitting for a while or days off (ONLY reason he is for sale!) - needs consistency that sadly I don’t have time for right now with three small children - food pig- needs to be fed out of bag/feeder/ or off stall mat- cannot eat off ground he will eat every last crumb (easy fix) - had dirtball removed from his stomach - back cinch/ flank chinch- I don’t think he likes it. Might be what is causing the cold back issue
