Aster is an OTTB with 13 starts. Since retiring from the track, he's been re-started as a hunter jumper. Unfortunately, an unresolved lameness prevents him from being a riding horse, so I'm looking for a home as a companion for him.
I've never met a horse that loves people more. He will happily stand for hours to be groomed. He's very smart and would be a great candidate for clicker training. I've done a lot of groundwork/liberty work with him and he quickly picks up voice commands and hand signals.
He's pasture sound barefoot and great for the farrier and vet. Always comes to the gate to meet you. He's happiest living outside with a run-in, ideally with one or two buddies. He's not picky and eats many of the weeds so he'll help keep your pastures mowed. :)
The most important thing to me is that Aster goes to a great home and I'll be checking up on him. I'm open to a care lease as well.
