Estrella RDL is being offered for sale to the right home.

She is intelligent and sensitive. When you are right, she is right. When you are soft, she is soft.

She is a super fun ride once you get to know her. You barely have to touch her to get her to go. Her slow trot is soft, and can be done alongside another horse walking. Her extended trot will make you audibly “WEEEE!!” Her canter is bigger than she is. She’s hilarious if you take her jokes, and in return she will take yours in stride.

I honestly think she would be a Short-Queen Policewoman if she was put through the academy. She would excel at equitation, and trails, and can do dressage and hop over short fences. She has done obstacle courses, shows, and trails already. She has also been a lesson horse, though I think she would prefer to be someone’s main squeeze.

I think she would really enjoy ranch work.

I purchased Estrella as a yearling from Rancho Del Lago in McDade, TX.

When she was 3, I sent her to 30 days riding training before bringing her back home. At 4, she did 90 days training, and has been a fabulous trained riding horse ever since. She built my confidence as a rider.

She is built thick and stays fat on air and never been lame (barefoot her whole life). Her only maintenance is she has skin allergies.

Shes second in my herd to my Percheron cross gelding, and loves attention. My gut feeling is she wants to be someone’s only horse. A man with a soft touch, or a woman who can create firm boundaries and match energy if necessary. Someone who wants a Spanish ride size wide. I like to make the joke she’s half Amish, half Spanish war horse, what do you think you’ll get?

She is being offered for sale because I am going a different direction with my horsemanship. I’ve come to really appreciate her and what she has taught me. I need to cut back and reorient myself. I’d like to give her the opportunity to find the right person, one that will develop her into what she is capable of. She has a solid foundation, and is ready to go in most directions.
